Last run I did I got nothing. And on that note, that run had no ectos, nor gold chests....what a rip

Maybe its not about the drops but about the challenge?

Go farm griffins all day long and you might earn a lot more but whats the point, doing the same run over and over and over...I like the challenge of the new UW and I've come up without a green as well, I've had 3 over 3 runs and not a single gold but frankly, I dont care, I play the game for fun not to earn fake money which is kinda useless to me anyway, I got weapons and armor and runes anyway.

I play the game for fun too, and I surely don't farm all day long. I was just making a point. If you think about it, Tombs is just another place to farm, the only difference is it takes 3 hours instead of 5 mins. There are NO rewards for completing the run - only drops. If you only go there for the challenge, then how is that different than people trying to solo farm because they think it's a challenge as well?

Yeah its pathetic how low the drop rates are on blues/purples/golds/ectos and even money. The thing is none of this can really be changed because there are still people duoing UW.

At least one green for everyone would be nice, but really its not worth going for 1 green because most of them will be hard to sell and in the end not worth a lot. The darkness should drop 1 green for everyone as well as having a very good chance at ectos/gold items. There should maybe be a chest at the end with 20 plat or somthing to share w/ the party. Lastly at the end of HoH there should be no 30 second count down.

I feel your pain. The only profitable run I had was the very first on Thursday Night, when people were still signing on to check out the new greens, not knowing there value. I sold Kole's Torment for 100k, and traded the 100k from that staff + Illyana's Staff for Victo's Blade, which was an O.K. trade in my opinion. Now I have no new greens. I sold off Victo's Blade, simply because the degen annoys me. The skin is cool and all, but I don't think it is worth ~100k. Same thing with the Battle Axe and the Shield. Sundering is a very crappy mod, yet people pay extra for the skin. I don't think ~2 1/2 hours of tedious fighting is worth getting maybe ~30-50k in greens, with the exception of that rare chance you could get some of Victo's Items, except for the Maul, which no one wants, either. There is always the risk that your connection could bug out you could get err=7'ed out after two hours spent down there. You would be better off running Droks, or farming. Just my two cents.

(I also got net error=7'ed at the second half of a great run. Bleh. )

Mayber its about both or one or the other, its about how a player enjoys the game not how YOU enjoy it.

I like a challenge, but i also like rewards. If i did UW for the challenge then i would never go back after the fist time, as the challenge is no longer in existance.

Why does that matter, well what about people that havnt done it. Do they not benifit from having people in the team that know what to expect, should helping my guildees through it be nothing but a chore with no reward. Dont get me wrong i like helping people through missions, but theres only so many times you can do it before you say "whats in it for me / wheres my fun=reward".

Look at sorrows, prime example.

Its not the 100% reason why, but its a controbuting factor.

The only people who now go to sorrows are farmers, or people yet to do the mission. But the people doing the mission are outnumberd, why is that? Becasue people who are farming for green items will return again and again and again, people who are doing the mission will do it once and then either not return or join the farmers, (this is of course not true for everyone, but a big majority i feel).

I farm rarely at sorrows, because i have been 25+times on farm runs, and so far have gotten 3x useless greens. But i can put up with that because a sorrows run takes about half an hour.

The UW takes 2 or 2.5 hours depending on team, once people have builds and stratigies im sure a run can be knocked down to 1.5 to 2 hours, but thats a long time to spend for a green run to get nothing at the end.

Id like to clarify what i said.

If 4 greens drop and i dont get one, fine.

But its abit of a pizztake when 2 of those go to the same person.

Your missing one of the main points in this update. They finalyl made an area that makes u think in pve... FINALLY!! PVE areas were way too easy 99% of the time. That was one of the reason that i would pug fow or UW so much. the challenge of keeping some of the more mentally retarted players of GW alive was fun to me.

Ive been on many, many, many runs and didnt get anything to drop worth a damn and had to resort to buying it, but thats ok. The only thing that is completely useful is the shield and my ranger loves that new green recurve bow. other than that the staffs from sorrows/collectors OWN the staffs that drop in the new tombs. The axe has one of the most USELESS mods on it that u can have, and the sword is basically grognars sword with 15>50 instead of enchanted... both kinda blow. Personally i dont understand giving all the staffs the same stats. The monk one sells for 80k, yet you can buy the same thing with domination instead of divine reqs for 10k?!! if youre buying a staff for dmg output, rethink playing a monk plz...

The scamming people is what i see becomming a problem. I had 2 people try to scam me in buying the shield and switched it to a plain shadow shield, and 3 people try to replace the axe with the dropped sickles that are plain, so be careful in trading is my advice.

I cant complain
I have been there 3 times, the first time I got 3 to drop for me... lol
Second I got 1, and third I got 1.

Just leave the area for a while and return if its not working for you.
And sell everything as quickly as possible

Had another "successful" run last night... 3 hours hard work (with breaks). Nothing for me. Again.

It's all well and good that the prices will drop. However, I've worked really hard and gotten zippo. If I finally ever get my hands on a green, it'll probably be worth about 5 cents and bye-bye any hopes of ever getting 15k armor (let alone FoW).*

If anyone ever needs someone to siphon your bad luck, take me along. In fact, if you come with me, I guarantee everyone in the group a green! ... Except me.

*Before you flame me about wanting nice-looking armor... What in the hell else is there to spend money on?

I've gone twice with my guild, and both times the same player got nothing. It sucks.

I've gone down as a monk and as a trapper. And going down as a monk is rather draining. 3-4 hours of constant monking? It's not fun, especially towards the end with the Chaos Worms and their siege attacks.

Of course people are still going to go back again and again, because that ~38% chance for a drop per Darkness looks a lot nicer than the 20% drop per boss, for a 5 man Sorrows team and that 20% is not guaranteed since boss's won't always drop greens in Sorrows.

I've done at least twelve runs so far. It's frustrating when you spend two hours playing and don't get what you want, or anything at all. I picked up Victo's Bulwark and an offhand yesterday while someone else in the party got nothing, so I split the greens between us. They felt a little better, at the very least.

I've at least picked up one or two ecto as well. Lucky me.

I'm all for changing the drop rate to be more fair; there's something not right about leechers picking up multiple high-end greens and others that haven't get nothing. Or people that get greens every run.

I had 2 green items drop for me on my last UW run. The problem was that my team was so busy worrying about who got the axe that they didnt rez me. Needless to say I got no green items that run.

4 runs, 3 that actually made it. On my first run, i got the Millus Eye. Than after two runs where i get nothing and didn't even made it pass level 3. On my second run, with a group of 8 men. We cleared the whole place (I was W/M but acted like ranger with longbow) And i was luck to get both Battle Axe and Shadowblade at once. I seen this happened on my first run when a necro got both axe and blade on one run.

It seem that people can get axe and blade together almost on everyrun. But out of all my completed try, i never seen the orge knife dropped.

Now THAT sucks the big one. At least we were on TS and the person who was dead and had a green sitting there could yell for the res.

Needless to say I had all the time in the world to res him seeing as how there was nothing for me to scramble for.

I must be bringing it on myself, because also in all the many times I went into SF since that update, and into Tombs since that update, I have only ever had 3 greens drop for me. EVER.

Thanks for this rant thread. I need to write it so I don't get too bitter around my guildies (who I am indeed happy for), who get all the stuff around me.

Yes, it's nice of them to give me a gift of an unwanted green once in a while. But a gift is not something I'm going to sell for 100k plus ectos. You just don't do that.

I go down to have fun...for me, it's the most enjoyable PvE area yet. My first trip, I got the Bulwark and Wenslass' Chalice...I sold the Bulwark and kept the Chalice for myself. I've gone ~5 or 6 times since, and only got greens on one run, when I got Illyana's Staff and another Chalice. I gave the Chalice to a ranger that didn't get squat. Personally, I'd rather not get anything than those low value, hard-to-sell inventory space hogs.

Heh tell me about it. It's super stressful but still fun...after a run I'm so worn out I usually need to take a break from the computer.

Not particularly, cleared the area in about 45 minutes to an hour, little or no trouble. If your players know how to follow instructions (welcome to the first grade), the entire run requires little thought, creativity or strategy. The mobs don't seem to run from AoE which makes the run even easier.

While trying to offload the greens I've obtained during the runs, I've had numerous people trying that stupid cancel and switch routine. What a stupid waste of time, now I remember why I hate trading.

So I joined up with some guild who wanted to try a 5 man stance tank, monk, nuker deal. It worked but took 3.5 hrs. So when green time came(took over 20mins to kill the bosses) the tank who didnt really do as much as the rest got 4 green and a monk got 2. I got a 14-21 req 12 gladius.

But my other three 8-man runs got me 1 green each.(2 recurves and a faith)

Ahh figures I’ve done several runs we either died or I got an error 7 and always just right before the green drop level. Now the drop rate has decreased and I never seem to get any drops I’ve only got about 6 drops total out of all three maps just 2 drops per map. Wonder if anet has an anti-drop on me, lol some time’s the only good item I get comes for the gold chest on the second level.
